Coach Mal Moore in Hueytown at North Highland's Baptist Church on Tuesday, 03/02/10

Join your friends and neighbors on Tuesday, March 2nd as we have breakfast with the Boy Scouts and Mr. Mal Moore, Athletic Director for the University of Alabama!  Coach Moore has been associated with 8 National Championships and will provide an interesting look at Crimson Tide athletics.

North Highlands Baptist Church will host the Boy Scout's 2010 Annual Regional Mayor's breakfast which begins at 7:30 a.m.  It will last no longer than one hour.

Also on Tuesday, March 2nd, an American Values Luncheon for Boys Scouts will be held at the BJCC - North Exhibition Hall.  Time: 12 Noon.  The luncheon will  feature Eli Manning, Quarterback for the New York Giants as guest speaker.

Mark your calendar, put your running shoes on & let's go!!

Okay, it will be here before you know it....  Saturday, Oct 10, 2010...   What is that?  Why the Hueytown 10K/5K race!    So let's get busy!  If you aren't already exercising, its a great reason to start.  You don't have to be a 'runner',  we have 'walkers' too!   All proceeds go to LOCAL schools and charities.  If you would like to volunteer, please do!    If you haven't participated in a run, no fears.  Every year we have more and more first timers.   Check out the 'Training Schedule' page.  You will find lots of great information to help you get started....   If you have any questions, need more info or are looking for a training group/partner, give the Chamber a call:  205 491 8039.

Chamber Luncheon - February - 2/17/10 - Brooklane Community Center

Police Promotional Ceremony: 02/03/10

Congratulations to Detective Shoop and Detective Washington and  Mickey Willis of the Hueytown Police Department!   Lt. Willis was recently promoted to the rank of Captain.   Detectives Shoop and Washington were recently promoted to the rank of Sergeant.   The promotional ceremony will be held Thursday, February 3rd, 2010.  Time:  7:30 pm, Location:  Hueytown City Hall Council Chambers.
