Christmas Tree Lighting: Friday, 12/02/11 - 7 pm

Join us for Hueytown's annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on Friday, December 2nd at  7 pm.  The program will consist of carols, music by the Hueytown High School Band along with children's activities.  And for all of our good boys and girls -  an appearance from Santa!  Opportunity for photos will be available.

4th Round Playoff Game: Hueytown vs Vigor, Friday, 11/25/11

The Hueytown High School Varsity football team brought the Playoff series back home to Hueytown!  The 4th Round Playoff game will be against Vigor this Friday night, 11/25/11.

Tickets are available at the Hueytown High School office until the Thanksgiving holidays.  Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at the HHS office Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 3 PM.     Office Phone: 205-379-4150    They can also be purchased at Gilmore Stadium beginning at 5 pm CT the night of the game .

Reminder:  Season Passes do not include Playoff Games. Everyone must purchase a playoff ticket. However, you can use your HQBC parking pass at Friday's home game.

3rd Round Playoff Game: Friday, 11/18/11 against St. Paul of Mobile

Congratulations to the Hueytown High Varsity football team on their 2nd round playoff win against Eufaula!  That means we are in for the 3rd Round Playoffs.    This time we will be on the road and need to show our support.  Everyone knows Hueytown 'travels well' so lets keep up the tradition! 

The game will be this Friday, 11/18/11, against St. Paul of Mobile.  Game time is 7 p.m. at the E. E. Delaney Stadium.   Click the link for map and directions.

Your Express Carwash honors Veterans and current military on Friday, 11/11/11

In honor of our Veterans and active military, on Veteran's Day Your Express Carwash of Hueytown will provide FREE car washes to Veterans and current military service personnel under the 'Grace for Vets' free Wash Program. 

On Friday, November 11, Your Express Carwash of Hueytown will join approximately 1,300 carwash locations across the nation in providing the  free washes. These washes are given to recognize and honor our Veterans and those men and women who are currently serving in the armed forces.

Even if you aren't a Veteran or currently in the military, please stop by Your Express Carwash to help support this fantastic endeavor and to show your appreciation of one of our Chamber members.

Hueytown Area Chamber Christmas Parade - Saturday, Dec 10th

Come one, come all and have a ball!  Christmas ball that is!   The Hueytown Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade is the largest  in West Jefferson county.  It is scheduled for Saturday, December 10th starting at 10 a.m.    The 2011 theme is:    "A Holly Jolly Christmas"

Have a Rootin' Tootin' good time on November 19th and help Hueytown Middle School

On Saturday, November 19th HMS will hold its 4^th Annual Live/Silent Auction at the North Highland Baptist Church.:  ”One Rootin Tootin Extravaganza”!!     For $ 15 per person you can enjoy Food and Beverages beginning at 6 pm.  After dinner enjoy the Live/Silent Auction.  All proceeds go to the HMS  Outdoor Learning Landscape Project.   So mark it on your calendar and come support our Middle School!

Through the Live/Silent auction program, HMS has raised over $ 35,000 dedicated to the $ 100,000 needed to complete school improvements.  The improvements include the restructuring of the drop-off and pick-up locations at the school along with other outdoor changes.
