Hueytown's 10K/5K and Fun Run - Saturday, Oct 2nd

Don't forget to sign up early for the Hueytown 10K/5K and Fun Run (Walk) and receive a discounted entry fee. All runners will receive a quick dry technical t-shirt and the winner of each division will be presented with a gift certificate from an Alabama restaurant/business.  The race/walk is scheduled for Saturday, Oct 2nd.  Start time is 8 a.m.  Race day registration begins at 7 a.m.  All proceeds will benefit our local schools and charities.  The Birmingham Track Club has designated the Hueytown Race as a premier race in Central Alabama and this is a USATF Certified Course.

This a fantastic event and way to support our community in a fun way.  Each year the number of participants grows. Last year over 345 runners/walkers participated.

Ryan Davidson Bike Night at Iron Works Fitness - Thurs, Aug 26th, 7 pm

On Thursday, August 26th  come to the Ryan Davidson Bike Night at   Iron Works Fitness  in Hueytown.  Iron Works is the Hueytown Area Chamber's 2010 business of the year.   You will have a great time while supporting the  Ryan Davidson Memorial Ride  and the Alabama Head Injury Foundation.

There will be plenty of food and drinks along with entertainment by Alice in Thunderland.    The Silent Auction will give you the opportunity to bid on an Alabama collage signed by Nick Saban or an Auburn painting from the 2005 Ironbowl which highlights the 11 sacks on Brodie Croyle.  The auction items were graciously donated by  Hut Stuff Gifts and Gallery  in Hueytown.

The 2010 football season is underway in Hueytown!  The Golden Gophers first season game is Thursday, Aug 26 at 7 pm.    Location:  Gilmore Vines Stadium    Opponent:  Pelham High School.

Monthly Luncheon with the City: Wednesday, Aug 18th - Speaker: Coach Matt Scott

Grand Opening/Open House - JCE Credit Union - Saturday, Aug 14th!

Come join the JCE Credit Union at their grand opening on Saturday, Aug 14th!  Everyone is welcome to their open house from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.    Come by and meet the staff, enjoy refreshments, register for door prizes and gather information on accounts along with multiple financial products.
