2013 Christmas Parade Theme and Date

Time to get busy!  The 2013 Hueytown Area Christmas Parade will be Saturday, December 14th.  Start time:  10 a.m. CT.   The theme for the parade:  "An Old Fashioned Christmas".   Parade applications are available from  the Chamber. 

Categories of participation are:  Equestrian, Float, Vehicle and Walker.  There are restrictions for the entries and items for distribution.  Please contact Rebecca at the Chamber for clarification or need more information:  205 491 8039.

Hueytown High School Baseball team selling boxes of Oranges and Grapefruit through November 1st

Just in time for the holidays!   Help the Hueytown High School baseball team by purchasing a box or two (or three) of fruit.  They are selling boxes of oranges and grapefruit to raise funds for the team.  Each box is $18.  Payment is due by November 1st and delivery will be November 20th.  To place your order please contact the HHS school office (205-379-4150) or one of the baseball coaches.

Hueytown Chamber and City Luncheon: Wednesday, Oct 23rd, 12 noon

New Business Workshop - Thursday, Oct 17th - 3p & 6p

The Alabama Department of Revenue (ADOR) frequently hosts New Business Workshops throughout the state. Participants receive a brief, but comprehensive overview of Alabama taxes that enable a business to begin operating with a clearer understanding of its tax obligations.  The workshops are held twice on each scheduled date. Times are 3 pm and 6 pm.

Thank you Senator Greg Reed!    At a recent Hueytown City Council Meeting, State Senator Greg Reed made an award of $5,500 to Hueytown High and Hueytown Middle Schools. The funds will be used by each school for projects they would otherwise be unable to afford.  Senator Reed represents the 5th District which covers Jefferson, Tuscaloosa, Walker & Winston counties.

"Paint the Town Purple" winner: Brown Heating and Cooling
