Baseball and Softball Seasons have begun at Hueytown High School

Its springtime and in Hueytown that means it is time for baseball and softball!   Hueytown High School's seasons have started and they want you to join them at the parks!  So....

Join the HHS Baseball team on Monday, April 7th at 6 p.m. at the new Hueytown High School Baseball field.  Free admission for all Hueytown Alumni!

Join the HHS Softball team on Thursday, April 10th at 7 pm at the new Hueytown High School field.  Free admission for all Hueytown Alumni!

Hueytown's Cancer Relay For Life Fundraiser - May 2nd to 3rd - Gilmore Vines Stadium Park

Join friends and family in Hueytown fight cancer on May 2, 2014 by participating in Hueytown's Relay for Life fundraiser. This year's theme is Luau for Life. Click here for the article on AL.com   There is still plenty of time to sign up yourself or a team!

We will have a fun night to honor and remember everyone impacted by the disease.  The night's events will consist of activities involving food, entertainment, games and speakers - all for funding the fight against cancer.

There will be a Survivors Dinner starting at 4:30 pm on May 2nd.  Location:  First United Methodist Church in Hueytown (FUMC).  

Opening Ceremonies will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 2nd at Gilmore Vines Stadium Park.  Don't forget the Lumanaria Ceremony at 9 pm

Chamber Banquet - Thursday, April 24th: Guest Speaker - James Spann, ABC 33/40

Join us at the City of Hueytown / Hueytown Area Chamber Banquet on Thursday, April 24th.  All are welcome!  You do not need to be a Chamber member to attend. 

Networking will begin at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will begin at 7 p.m.   Location:  North Highlands Baptist Church, 15th Street Road, Hueytown, Al.  35023.

Our Emcee for the evening will have a definite Hueytown Connection:   Jacob Allison, Program Manager - WAPI.

Our Guest Speaker will be Emmy Award winner James Spann of Alabama 33/40.  James is a brilliant speaker and we are very lucky to have him at our banquet.  In addition to being the Chief Meteorologist for ABC 33/40, he is the founder of The Weather Company.  James is also the Chairman and one of the founders of AllWorship.com, a non-profit webcasting radio station which features worship music in English and Spanish.

Miss Hueytown Pageant Registration Extended to Monday, February 17th

Due to this week's weather issues and closed schools, registration for the Miss Hueytown Pageant has been extended to Monday, February 17th. Please contact Rebecca at the Chamber for applications and with any questions.

Hueytown Area Chamber & City February Luncheon: Wednesday, Feb 19th, 12 noon @ the Chamber office

The next City of Hueytown / Hueytown Area Chamber of Commerce lunch will be: Wednesday, February 19th at 12 noon. Our luncheon will be held at the Hueytown Area Chamber office located in the Hueytown City Hall Annex. The speaker will be Jimmy Stephens, Jefferson County Commissioner. All are welcome!
