Hueytown's 1st 'Paws in the Park' Dog Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Sept 7th. Time: 10 am - 5 pm (weather permitting). Location: Gilmore Stadium Park, corner of Allison Bonnett Memorial Drive & High School Road.
This is a family event and everyone is invited - even if you don't have a dog! There will be plenty for all to enjoy!
The festival includes vendors for both people and pets, food along with a kids area. Bring your dog and enter one or all of our contests: Best Costume, Best Trick, Cutest, Looks most like Owner, Most Unusual Mix, along with People's Choice.See several demonstrations: Obedience, Lure Coursing, Flyball, K-9 nose work and Grooming.
Enjoy educational sessions covering breed specific information, doggie daycare, rescue groups, etc.
Reminder: All dogs to be leashed and vaccinated. Admission is free, $1 entrance fee per contest event, registration at the Chamber booth.
