Do you have concerns regarding the quality of education at our schools and the impact of the test scores on our community? Maybe concerns regarding the direction of the academic offerings to our students and funding not provided to the Jefferson County area schools? Then plan to join us on October 14th from 6pm - 8pm at Hueytown High School and let your voice be heard about our schools!
JefCoEd established six community zone Strategic Planning forums to discuss its five-year strategic planning project. Their plans will have a significant impact to our area schools and community. The Community forums will be held to allow employees, parents, students and members of the public to give input into the planning. The goal of the development of the strategic plan is to include all municipal mayors, stakeholders, parents and school employees.
The first two of the six community meetings to gather feedback from stakeholders have been held at McAdory and Minor High Schools. The Hueytown Forum will be Tuesday night, Oct 14th from 6-8 pm.
Your voice is needed! Even if you do not live in the school district or have children in the area school, you pay taxes that benefit public schools in all 13 school districts within Jefferson County. Your business is impacted by the quality of education provided to our students, their test scores and school ratings. So turn out and show JefCoEd the Hueytown Area is just as interested in a quality education as those throughout the JefCo system and over the mountain!
