High School graduation will be here in a few weeks and our Seniors will be on their way. Each year the Hueytown Area Chamber of Commerce awards a
$500 scholarship to a Hueytown area graduating senior who exemplifies dedication to both academics and
service to their community. The scholarship will be presented at our annual Chamber banquet on Thursday evening, April 21st. Applications can be obtained by calling Rebecca at 205 491 8039.
Applicant must:
- have a 'C' average (2.0 GPA or higher on a 4 point scale)
- provide a copy of their transcript
- be either a Hueytown citizen or attending Hueytown schools
- insure their application is submitted at the Chamber office no later than Friday, April 1st
- submit a brief essay addressing the topic: “ If you could leave a wish to the Class of 2012 Graduating class and future Hueytown graduates, what would it be?”
